Walking cane with a long ivory handle Dieppe, France, mid 19th century. The handle is very finely and elaborately carved with a girl`s bust sourrounded by lily of the valley. Underneath the bust is a Putto holding a garland of flowers. Below him an unsigned nameplate with a bouqet of flowers on both ends. The handle finished with akanthus leaves and a pearl ring. The handle is fitted on a light brown grained
shaft with brass ferrule.
Height of the handle: 19 cm, 7,5", Overall length 93,5 cm, 36,8".
