A rare whalebone cane with a whaletooth cancer claw 1840-60. The handle is fitted on a whalebone shaft with four different carved sections and a whale tooth ring. Starting with a sextogal carved section with horn dots and a ring. Followed by a section of columns, then rhombuses and spirals. The last section is uncarved.
Length of the claw 4", overall length 36.6".
